WILLIAM R. WAGNER age 78, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
Born on February 22, 1943, in Painesville, OH to Dale and Margaret (Schuster) Wagner. Bill worked for and retired from Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Company and Case Western Reserve University as an accountant after many years of service. He was a member of St. Columbkille Parish, a graduate of Cleveland State University, Harvey High School in Painesville and served our country in the United States Navy from 1961-1965 while stationed at the Pentagon. Bill truly cherished his home life and his family. He also enjoyed doing oil paintings and fishing.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 31 years, Carole A. (Longinie) Wagner; one daughter Mary (Brandon) Scott of Colorado Springs, CO; and one son Thomas Wagner of North Ridgeville, OH. He was the grandfather of Anthony and Trey Wagner of North Ridgeville and Breck and Bryn Scott of Colorado Springs. Dear brother-in-law to Patricia Longinie of Seven Hills,OH, one brother Richard (Nancy) Wagner of W. Carrollton OH and one sister Dorothy (Lou) Hulett of Mentor, OH. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends received from 3-7 P.M. on MONDAY January 17 at the HOPKO FUNERAL HOME 6020 BROADVIEW RD (S OF SNOW RD) PARMA Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday January 18 at St. Columbkille Church Parma at 11:30a.m. with Rev. Kevin Estabrook as Celebrant. PLEASE NOTE TO MEET AT CHURCH ON TUESDAY. Bill will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery Brook Park, OH.
