Sandra Ann Gillard (née Dudeck)

Sandra Ann Gillard went to heaven on May 21, 2026 with her beloved children by her side. Loving Mother of David Verzi (Perrin) Kristina Verzi (Steve Smith) and “like a son to her” Dale Bogdan. Grandmother of David’s children Colton (Evelina Zielinski) and Benjamin (Sherry). Former spouse of Ronald J Verzi (deceased) and widow of William H Gillard, M.D. Dearest friend of William Thorrat (deceased). Beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Dudeck (née Prihoda) and stepdaughter of Ebenezer Owen after the death of her father when she was a young girl.

Sandra, born July 26, 1942, was an only child. She was a graduate of Parma Senior High School. Sandie spent decades as a professional photographer, artist and writer. She was owner of Lightkeepers Gallery in Lakewood, Ohio and a lifetime ASMP member. She was a photographer for her dear friend Glen Campbell and was loved my many friends and family around the world. She was sweet, giving, grateful and kind! She loved nature and animals, especially the ocean, trees, rocks and raccoons! She was vibrant, strong, independent, unique and devoted!

She loved the Byzantine Catholic Church and its traditions. Her funeral services will be in keeping with her faith:

Family and friends will be welcomed at HOPKO FUNERAL HOME 6020 Broadview Rd (S of Snow Rd) Parma on Tuesday, June 9th: VISITATION 3-8PM. Parastas at 7PM. Sharing of memories after Parastas. Funeral services: Hopko Funeral Home Wednesday, June 10th 8-9AM visitation. Panachida at 9AM. Funeral procession from Hopko to Cathedral of St John the Baptist 5500 W 54th Street Parma Ohio. 10AM Office of Christian Burial Service followed by graveside interment at Holy Spirit Cemetery.

Sandra’s late husband, Dr. William Henry Gillard will also be interred at the same gravesite service.
