Ronald John Kuzma

Ronald John Kuzma passed away on September 26th, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Ronald is the son of John and Marian (Hecker) Kuzma, father of Amber (Eric) Hedderman and Steve Kuzma (Maddii Kalal), grandfather of Mason and Leyton Hedderman, Alexis, Evan and Rylee Kuzma, Amelia Kalal; loving brother to Sally, Susan and Berdene Kuzma, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Ron was a very shy child but grew into an outgoing and loving person. He could strike up a conversation with anyone. He had a gentle way about him that made him approachable even with his imposing stature and distinctive voice. He could tell a great story and enjoyed sarcasm and quips with his family and friends. He had the kindest of hearts. He thought about how to help others or show his appreciation to those who were kind to him.

He loved sports and could fire out statistics and names of sports figures at an alarming rate. He knew all about the sporting accomplishments of his children and would give details that left everyone in amazement. His love of sports led him to show support not only to his own children but to other friends as well as playing softball well into his adulthood. Having Ron for a fan meant that you had a lifetime fan. Wrestling, baseball, football.... It didn’t matter, he enjoyed it all.

It was not unusual to see him riding on his tractor, or pushing his lawnmower with headsets on, listening to a game or music... another passion of Ron’s. Exchanging songs, playing music trivia games or seeing live music were pastimes that always brought a smile to his face.

His kind heart extended to his furry friends as well. He had a menagerie. From his bunny, to his cats to the deer and squirrels in his backyard, he cared for them all.

He was a hard worker but definitely enjoyed his retirement although he always had a project to complete. He will be missed by so many but his humor and kindness will live on with all who were fortunate to have him as part of their lives.

A Celebration of Life will take place in the spring.
