Robert J. Anderle age 80, passed away May 24, 2020.
Bob married the love of his life Carol when he was 22. A perfect match, they immediately started the family that would be the center of the rest of his life. Bob and Carol adored each other and were amazingly committed to their children and then grandchildren. He worked hard as a mail carrier for forty years with a dream that his children would go to college. Bob's care and dedication, his endless passion for every member of the family, and the values he instilled were a great gift that few are lucky to receive.
Bob grew up in the Buckeye neighborhood of Cleveland graduating from Benedictine High School in 1958. From an early age he enjoyed basketball and began coaching as a teenager in the Catholic Youth Organization's grade school league. This became a lifetime passion with him coaching youth basketball for forty years. He was honored by induction in the CYO Hall of Fame in 2008, but the true legacy of "Coach Anderle" was his positive impact, giving so many children confidence and fostering their passions as a role model and "second dad."
Bob was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, coach and friend. His fierce commitment and love for his family, friends and players knew no bounds and will be missed. He is survived by his loving wife Carol (nee Lawicki), his children and their spouses, Chris and Cheryl, Rob and Christina, Jeff and Ebie, Rosemarie and John Costo, and his grandchildren whom he could not have loved more Shelby, Markus, Thomas, Brett, Nicholas, Margaret, Audrey, Megan, and Alexandra. Bob was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Silvestro (husband Dominic).
