Rev. Robert C. Hull devoted, and loving husband of Patricia (nee Parish) passed away peacefully at home on July 23,2025. He was 92 years old. Bob was born in Fremont, Ohio to Jessie (nee Childs) and Robert Hull. He graduated from Ravenna High School, The College of Wooster, and Yale Divinity School. He attended New College in Edinburgh, Scotland. During summer breaks he worked in Alaska. helping to support the workers on the pipeline. He and the friend he went up there with, met several other college students, and they all became lifelong friends.

After his ordination at the Congregational church in Ravenna, Ohio, he went to Steubenville, Ohio to pastor his first church. He also pastored churches in Newbury, Ohio, Cleveland, Ohio, Maple Heights., Ohio, and Shaker Heights., Ohio. To supplement his income, Bob worked for the Cuyahoga County Welfare Department helping to develop training programs. Also, he was a substitute teacher in the Cleveland Public Schools.

He was a dedicated civil rights advocate. He worked diligently to elect Carl Stokes as the first black mayor of the city of Cleveland. He was also involved in the marches of Dr. Martin Luther King, and served as treasurer of SCLC.

Bob volunteered for many organizations. Among them were Christian Legal Services, Youth Empowerment Project, Group Health Plan, and Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries. Bob would go out of his way to help anyone in need.

He and his wife traveled extensively always making sure to take a scrabble game. In addition to scrabble he enjoyed playing chess and eating an ice cream cone every evening at 9:00pm.

He is survived by his wife Patricia, his sisters Jessie and Karen, nieces and nephews, and his favorite walking partner, their dog Bobbi

Private services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, Ohio
