OLGA VASARHELYI (nee Torok) age 93, beloved wife of the late Laszlo.
Dear mother of John (Sharon), David (deceased) (Jennie) and Mark.
Loving grandmother of Brendan, Brianne, Leah and Kayla. Dear sister of Irene, John, Elmer, and Richard (all deceased).
Olga grew up in Tiltonsville, Ohio, the daughter of Hungarian immigrants. As a young woman, she travelled across the country with her mother, ultimately visiting all 50 states and many international destinations. In 1962 she moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where she met and married her husband of 59 years, Laszlo Vasarhelyi. Olga was a devout Catholic and visited holy shrines across the world. She was an excellent homemaker and found great joy in her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and feeding friends and family. She will be remembered for her loving spirit and caring nature.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Sacred Heart Southern Missions, www.shsm.org.
Friends received 4-7PM THURSDAY December 21, 2023 at the Hopko Funeral Home 6020 Broadview Rd. (S of Snow Rd) Parma where services will be held Friday at 9:30am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Columbkille Church at 10am. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.
