Michael J. Prandich, 74, of Euclid, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with health issues.
Born on August 22, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio. As a child his family moved to Parma. He graduated from Holy Name High School in Cleveland and obtained a bachelors degree from Cleveland State University.
Michael dedicated his life to serving others with compassion, integrity, and unwavering faith. The focus of Michael’s career was service… customer service, human service and most importantly, services to children and families, including foster care services. He was a voice for children in need and advocated tirelessly for their safety and well-being. His work reflected the kindness, love and passion that defined his life.
Michael was a devoted and faithful Catholic whose love for God was evident in both his words and actions. He generously volunteered in numerous parish ministries and church activities throughout the years, finding joy in serving his faith community and helping others.
Above all, Michael treasured his family. He is lovingly remembered by his children Rodney, Crystal, Kevin, Eric, Scott and Jimmy; his sisters, Theresa Hruby and Kathleen Prandich; many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness and generosity. Most of all, Michael cherished his grandchildren, Titan, Ronin, Seth, Savannah, Lyda, Mario Jr, Marcus, Mariana, Carrio and Aurora, and was lovingly called their “Pappy”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Selma (Sally) Prandich and his brother-in-law, Robert Hruby
Michael will be remembered for his vibrant personality, joviality and wit, compassionate heart, steadfast faith, quiet strength, and lifelong commitment to serving others. His legacy of love, generosity, and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4:00PM to 7:00PM on WEDNESDAY JULY 29 at the HOPKO FUNERAL HOME 6020 BROADVIEW RD (SOUTH OF SNOW RD) PARMA
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Robert and William Catholic Parish 367 E 260th St. Euclid, Oh. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH) followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the LUNGevity Foundation https://www.lungevity.org/
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the many healthcare professionals, caregivers, family members, and friends who provided Michael with compassionate care and support throughout his illness. Their kindness and dedication will always be remembered.
May Michael rest in the peace of Christ, whom he faithfully served throughout his life.
