Friday, December 25 2020 Mary Louise (Mary Lou) Yanachik, loving mother of three sons and grandmother to two granddaughters passed away at the age of 65.
Mary Lou was born April 4 1955 to Arthur and Jane (Banaszak) Yanachik and grew up in Parma, OH. She graduated from Parma High School with the class of 1973. She married Robert (Bob) Stephen Hritz April 25 1981 and raised three boys together.
Mary Lou worked multiple jobs throughout her lifetime, but her real passion was volunteering in the special needs community. She was a very joyful and carefree woman. She took life as it came and enjoyed every moment. Mary Lou enjoyed crafting, baking, talking on the phone and traveling. Mary Lou was always the life of the party and knew how to arrive fashionably late to any event. A very important part of her life were her friends which were very special to her and were always there for her.
Above all, Mary Lou was a devoted and loving mother to her three boys. She is survived by all three sons, Joe Hritz (North Royalton OH); John Hritz and his wife Amy (Bath OH); and Bobby Hritz and his wife Nancy (Hermitage PA). Mary Lou had just become a grandmother this year to two beautiful granddaughters, Phoebe Louise Hritz (Hermitage Pa), and Shelby Jo Hritz (Bath OH). Mary Lou adored her granddaughters and spoiled them immensely.
Mary Lou is also survived by her ex-husband and friend, Bob Hritz (North Royalton OH); two brothers, Larry Yanachik and his wife Bev (Sandusky OH); Paul Yanachik and his wife Judy (Novi MI); an aunt, Theresa Grzybowski (Parma OH), a brother in law Jim Hritz and his wife Darlene (North Royalton OH); a sister in law Lois Hritz (North Royalton OH); and many loving and caring cousins. She was a loving aunt to Mother Cecilia (Christ the Bridegroom Monastery), Sara Otter and her husband Lucas (Livonia MI), Mark Hritz (North Royalton OH) and Stephen Hritz (North Royalton OH).
The funeral service will be held on Monday January 4, 2021 at St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church 8111 Brecksville Rd. Brecksville beginning at 9:45 a.m followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AT THE CHURCH ON MONDAY FROM 9A.M. UNTIL TIME OF SERVICES
A memorial and celebration of life will be held at a future date.
