MARTIN F. DRLIK age 88, beloved husband of 56 years to Emily (nee Koniewski).

Dear father of Gary (Siobhan), Greg (Amy) and Andrea Smith (Timothy).

Loving grandfather of Martin A., Madison and Marti Drlik and Megan, Eric and Sarah Smith.

Dear brother of John Drlik (Dolores).

Mr. Drlik was a graduate of Case Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his 49 year career with the same engineering firm, he was successful in obtaining several patents for his design of aircraft electrical generators. In addition he was a technical instructor at Fenn College. He served in the U.S. Army as a SPC3 during the Korean War Era and received many marksmanship awards as a member of the Army National Pistol and Rifle Teams. He was a member of American Legion Post 703 in Parma. He also was active with the Boy Scouts and served as a two-term Councilman for the City of Seven Hills. He was a member of St. Columbkille Holy Name Society and a choir member.

Friends received from 4 – 8 P.M. THURSDAY at the HOPKO FUNERAL HOME 6020 BROADVIEW RD (S OF SNOW RD) PARMA where services will be held Friday January 20, 2017 at 9:30a.m. and at St. Columbkille Church at 10a.m. followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
