MARIE A. GOLIAS age 67, beloved daughter of Wanda M. (nee Shiplett) and Richard Sr. "Red" Golias (both deceased).

Dear sister of Robert, Richard J. Jr., Anne, Karl, Timothy and Paul (Emma).

Loving aunt of Richie, Katie and Jimmy Golias.

Marie was graduate of Marymount High School and received a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University.

Marie was a Proud Slovak and was involved in the Slovak Community of Greater Cleveland. She was a member of the Slovak Catholic Federation of Cleveland, Cleveland Slovak Dramatic Club, American Slovak Zemplin Social Club, Slovak Heritage Society of Greater Cleveland and the Cleveland Slovak Radio Club.

She served as President of Cleveland Bratislava Sister Cities, Second Vice President of the Slovak Catholic Federation, First Catholic Slovak Union Branch 1 Recording Secretary and Financial Secretary, First Catholic Slovak Ladie Assn. Life Branch 9 Treasurer and Recording Secretary, First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assn. Life Cleveland District Vice President. She was employed at Cleveland State University in the Admissions Dept. and also worked in the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assn Life Main Office and the Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Parma Office.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to St. Andrew's Abbey or Benedictine High School 10510 Buckeye Rd Cleve. OH 44104.

Friends received at the HOPKO FUNERAL HOME 6020 BROADVIEW RD (S OF SNOW RD) PARMA where services will be held Saturday April 23, 2022 at 10:15a.m.followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Therese Church 5276 E 105th St at Granger Rd. Garfield Heights.
