Lois A. (nee Hruska) Meilander

LOIS A. MEILANDER (nee Hruska), age 80, entered into eternal rest on April 17, 2013. Devoted wife to the late William H. Beloved mother of Kim (Frank) Krajcovic, Timothy (Tracey), and Tara (Charles) Elkins; cherished grandmother of Krystal, Katie, Rachael, Emily, Nicole, Ethan, Michael, and Maya. Lois was a talented cook and seamstress. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, especially for the holidays, and her home was a place of warmth and memories. Her whimsical holiday displays and decorations brought great joy to her children and grandchildren throughout the years. Lois loved to travel the United States and Europe and shared her love of exploring the world with her husband, children, grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed treating her family to memorable trips including Florida, the Caribbean, Alaska, and Hawaii. Lois served the Cleveland schools as a home economics teacher and counselor and later served the Parma City Schools as a substitute teacher. As an escort for Great Day Tours, Lois guided many travelers on trips with her hospitality and expertise. Lois will be remembered for her kindness and generosity. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. A private family service was held to honor her memory.
