Julia M. (nee Melinis) Czek

JULIA M. CZEK (nee Melinis) age 97, met her savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 20, 2020. She joined her beloved husband John M. Czek; dear brother John F. Melinis; dear niece Patricia A. Melinis; and loving parents Albina (nee Garjonis) and Anthony J. Melinis. Survived by loving niece and goddaughter Catherine G. Brewer-Melinis (Richard); nephews Michael A. Melinis (Maria) and Matthew J. Melinis; great aunt of eight; and most dear friend of the Samatauskas/Civinskas family.

Julia was employed for over 30 years by the Cleveland Plain Dealer as an advertising illustrator. After retiring from the Plain Dealer, she continued illustrating at least another 15 years for Cikra Furs.

Her many interests included the Brecksville Women's Club, gardening, orchestra concerts, sewing, and visiting with acquaintances, neighbors and friends. Julia was a long time parishioner at Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Broadview Heights.

Private Burial Service was held at Holy Cross Cemetery on Monday March 23, 2020.

A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:00 am on Saturday September 25, 2021 at the Church of the Assumption 9183 Broadview Rd Broadview Hts.
