John Charles Oros, 60, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2026 at 6:19 p.m. after a courageous battle with cancer. John was a builder, a racer, and a man who believed in getting things done. He had a passion for building cars, riding motorcycles, and spending time at the drag strip, where the roar of an engine and the smell of burning rubber felt like home. He left his mark on this world one burnout at a time, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Strong, motivated, stubborn, and hard-headed, John lived life on his own terms. He could be crazy in the best ways, and when he set his mind to something, he saw it through. He always took care of business and wasn’t afraid of hard work. Above all else, family was at the center of his life. Those who knew him will remember his determination, his larger-than-life personality, and the love he had for the people closest to him. 

John is survived by his children, Tailor Joy Oros (29) and John Joseph Oros (27); his brothers, Timothy Oros and Michael Oros; and his sister, Kathleen Oros Dragomer. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, John and Helen Oros, and his brother, Patrick Oros. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 2:00 p.m. at Whitey’s Booze N’ Burgers, 3600 Brecksville Road, Richfield, Ohio 44286. Family and friends are invited to gather to share stories, celebrate John’s life, and honor the memories he created.
